“That Can’t Be My Grandson”

I took some time off of school to focus on myself.
Took some time from the books to better my health.

“What are you doing, son?”
”Do you have a plan, son?”

“Take your head out the sand, son…”
”Oh, my poor baby! That can’t be my grandson!”

I’ll be just fine, my family…
Bigger things are coming than you even expect of me.

My life is on course.
This isn’t the detour.

It’s according to plan,
and I’m feeling like me, more.

I had an angel fly through my window some months ago.
She whispered some things in my ear,
she said that I’d like to know…

“What are you doing, son?”
”Do you know His plan, son?”

“Take your head out the sand, son…”
”Oh, my poor baby! You’re not held in ransom!”

Take some time off of school to focus on your self.
Take some time from the books to better your health.
